Metrocon 2026 Artist Alley Recap

August 24, 2026

Metrocon 2026 Artist Alley Table StarInMyPocket

˭̡̞(◞⁎˃ᆺ˂)◞*✰ What a weekend!

What do you think of my current display? Very thankful for 8ft tables at Metrocon and that they give artists room to breathe. I did not bother with my curtain so stuck my logo banner on the side. I may need to start narrowing down my LED lamp designs though and make more room for upcoming mugs...

I've vended at Metrocon since 2008 I think? For reference to any other fellow artist alley-ers out there, back when it was $75 for a table, maybe 25 artists, and all we had were prints in a binder, some hand made bookmarks, and my acrylic print keychains were probably the only artist keychains there.

Speaking of my custom choose your characters front & back keychains...

Shout out that for the many many years I've had my kecyhain print book out I FINALLY put glue dots behind the prints to stop them from wiggling around. Yeah, it may make them harder to rearrange but I can't help think WHY didn't I do this sooner!? Apologies and thanks to anyone whose had to scoot a wayward print back in.

Metrocon was my ONLY convention this year! ∑(゚ロ゚〃)

My third chibi at home (now an adorable 5 month old), convinced me to not overstretch myself with conventions for awhile. I may do a few one day local events before the year is out though, so stay tuned! And of course, I'll be more focused on Etsy, my online shop, and conventions.

Did you miss getting a button?

This was the first convention I put a sign up clipboard out for my mailing list and offered a choice of my little Totoro or Stargirl logo button as a thank you. If you're already on my mailing list and didn't get one, don't worry! If you see me at an upcoming convention or event, come find me and let me know you're a subscriber — I'll have a button waiting for you while supplies last.  (ˆ⌣ˆԅ) Soo many people signed up, so thank you!

Honestly I prefer sending out 1-2 art newsletters a month and am terrible at keeping up with socials so if you haven't and like to follow what I've been up to in the art world, consider joining me! ^^

Also here's some of my favorite cosplays from the weekend!

I always love taking photos of favorite cosplayers that pass my my table at events and Metrocon never disappoints. I know I miss a lot of awesome cosplay at my table so I'm thankful for all those who browsed AA and I was able to get a photo of!

I sent photos home to be shared with my 7 year old and these were her favorites (Toilet Bound Hanako anime and Little Nightmares game are two current  BIG obsessions... yes I have a little otaku, artist, and gamer following in my footsteps).

And at any big event I actually do well at, I can't help but treat myself to a few goodies plus art trade with other artists! I LOVE my new Apothecary Diaries desk mat <3

And I brought three brand-new prints to the convention!

I debuted three new sketch illustrations — a Maiko, a Don't Starve piece, and a Stardew Valley fishing scene. They are currently available on Etsy and to be added soon on my website shop... along with some other exciting new drops.
