ABOUT ME: I'm a brown haired girl with violet contacts - glasses
on occasion. I'm friendly and enjoy meeting new people (though friends
usually have to drag me places to get me out of the house). I've been a
devoted bookworm all my life and have become somewhat an anime geek as
well. Somewhere over the years my interest in anime became a fascination
and real love of Japan. I know just enough Japanese to pick out words here
and there though I really would like to learn the language. I'm mature in
many ways, childish in others. I love cute things. I hate being bored--my
iPod, a sketchbook, and a book goes with me anywhere I go. I've recovered
my childhood dream of being an artist professionally and have steadily
been moving in that direction. I also enjoy writing, playing the piano,
being on the computer, and just watching movies with friends.
EDUCATION: I was home schooled throughout most of my middle and
high school years. I got my AA degree through a community college
and just finished a two year commercial art program.
MY ART: I loved drawing at an early age - my dad still has my
earliest doodles with stars stuck proudly on them. My interest perked when
I was 12 and discovered Japanese anime and the style of artwork. I finally
got more serious about art when I was 14 and found out about digital art.
There's so many amazing artists I've found online that gave me
inspiration.
I've done murals to caricature art, but my love still remains for manga
stye artwork. My favorite medium is digital. I work with an intous2 tablet
in Painter. Since I was fourteen I always carried a sketchbook with me and
am now on my 11th.
